Natural Stride for Dogs

When you look at the ingredients of the different supplements available today, pretty much all of them seem to have Glucosamine in them. Glucosamine is used for dogs, horses, and humans in the treatment for joint damage and Arthritis.

Along with Cetyl Myristoleate and organic sulfur (MSM), fish oil, there is also HA (Hyaluronic Acid), and Yucca these are all supplements used for the treatment of Arthritis and joint damage. Dasuquin, Cetyl M, Cosequin, and Natural Stride are a combination of Glucosamine and other supplements. But Glucosamine seems to be the primary base ingredient to most if not all these supplements.

With some of the more chemical type medications used for the treatment of Arthritis they may alleviate the pain to a certain degree, but they only mask the problem. Although there is no known cure for Arthritis, supplements seem to be  lot more successful than the traditional medications used in the past; after all how many pain killers or Steroids can you take and for how many years can you take them before you start to have other health issues. None of the past traditional medications actually promoted the regrowth of cartilage, but with the supplements available, Glucosamine being one of them, cartilage can be encouraged to grow and that is half the problem with joint damage, too little or no cartilage. Stem cell replacement is also another form of treatment to replace cartilage, but that is more a last resort for joints that are badly damaged and have been left untreated for too long, allowing Arthritis to get to an advanced stage or possibly Osteoarthritis being present.

Some of the treatments that have been used in the past, even though they do not have steroids present have eventually led to Renal Failure because of the side effects of the medication as well as ulcers and internal bleeding. With Glucosamine or any of the other supplements mentioned here you do not have to have these concerns, you are only replacing nutrients that are already in the body. If you give your dog these supplements, keep your dog on a healthy diet, and exercised plus keep your dog’s progress monitored by a vet you can keep you dog healthy for many years to come with a quality to their life that you will both enjoy.
